To me they were America; I loved them then ; I play them now; still have Albums I purchased in the 60s ; I will always Love there music! Don will always live ! in my heart and music.

When Chynna Phillips wrote this song, She was going through a bunch of demons in her personal life as well, With drinking and drugs. And this song pretty much got her through the rough times in her life.

Ventures would ALWAYS have standing room only at their Japan concerts twice every year.

this came out when I was 15 a week after I tried to commit suicide.

Thinking back on all this great music I got to hear on the school bus every morning and afternoon! If not for those long rides I never wouldve heard this great band! Or any other wonderful music of the 60's! Those bus drivers mustve been a lot younger than I thought back then.

Tika Tika Tik. Don Wilson who actually started the Ventures along with Bob was the perfect rhythm guitarist. He truly was the original sound of the surf guitar.
